November was an exciting month for our Westchester branch! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, our team decided to participate in activities to express their gratitude for the strong individuals in our community.
The Marisa Fund is a non-profit organization that raises money for the research, treatment and care of pediatric cancer patients. These little warriors are true fighters. The Westchester branch donated money to sponsor this organization, and an incredible opportunity came from the donation! Fox was invited to participate in the nonprofit’s virtual, 5-mile turkey trot from Nov. 22-29. The branch donated $1 for every mile ran by a team member, and our team had a blast at the event. Who said giving isn’t fun?
We may be surprised at how many veterans are actually among us. Veteran’s Day is a wonderful way to celebrate the men and women who fought for our freedoms! The Westchester branch gave the veterans on our team American flag hats with the Fox logo on them. They even received a few extras to hand out to other veterans in the community.
Westchester branch owner, Sterling Fife, also donated a generous amount to the Wounded Warrior Project, a non-profit that aids wounded vets in their transition back to civilian life.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Sterling praised our country’s brave veterans.
“Our American freedoms are a result of the sacrifices of those who have served our country.
We’re proud to employ veterans, and even more proud to provide services to those who have put their lives on the line,” he said. “Veterans Day may only be one day a year, but we value and recognize those who serve all-year round. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.”
